Husband Prayers: Day 26

Day 26: Praying for His Deliverance

Dear Lord, when you prayed, You taught us to ask You to deliver us from the evil one (Matt 6:13).  Our struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of the darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.  Lord, I pray that my husband puts on Your armor so that he can stand his ground on the evil day.

I pray that he puts on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the good news of peace, the shield of faith that can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  I pray to this end, Lord, so that he is alert and perseveres. (Eph 6:12-18)

Please deliver him from any sin in which he is enslaved.  (2 Peter 2:19)  I particularly pray for _____________.  Protect him from wicked and violent men.  (Ps 140:1)  Camp your angels around him (Ps 34:7).  I pray that my husband cries out to you so that you will save him from his troubles (Ps 34:7)  As we continually look to you for help, please set us free from our enemy’s net (Ps 25:15), and in the end Lord, I pray that together we will honor you for our deliverance (Ps 50:15).

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.
Gal 5:1

For I am sure of this very thing, that the one who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Phil 1:6

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand. Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace, and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.”
Eph 6:12-18

Pray to me when you are in trouble!
I will deliver you, and you will honor me!”
Ps 50:15
